The Story
Sanzon is a tiny organic winery owned and operated by Erika Rácz in Erdőbénye, Tokaj. The Rány vineyard is her top vineyard, comprising pure stone rhyolite that gives the wines a powerfully distinctive minerality.
The Furmint vines are 70 years old. Full bunch pressing followed by spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel and aging on the lees in 500 L Stockinger barrels for 8 months. Flavors like tart passion fruit, salt and minerals dominate on the nose and palate. Long powerful finish. Vegan and certified organic.
