The Story

A blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc from the estate's younger vines.

This is the third wine of Chateau Lynch Bages, a Bordeaux Grand Cru Classé estate. Previously named 'Pauillac de Lynch-Bages', this wine is now labelled as 'Famille J.M Cazes Pauillac.' It is a wonderful introduction to the property and while clearly Pauillac, the young fruit character gives a forward, supple style that delivers delicious early drinking.

This is a polished and powerful Pauillac from a storied lineage, that captures the essence of Left Bank structure with the approachability of a well-judged vintage. Dense blackcurrant, graphite, and cedar aromas open into a full-bodied palate layered with cassis, dark plum, and pencil shavings. Firm tannins and vibrant acidity support its aging potential, while a long, savory finish hints at its pedigree and precision.

Truly a "baby" Lynch-Bages that deserves all its praise.
