The Story

— — Limit 1 per customer — —

Produced from over-ripe single terroir agaves grown on the chalky, calcium-carbonate rich soils of Vista Hermosa Michoacán at around 5,000 feet in altitude. This is a tequila with bold minerality, bright citrus notes, and ever-present creamy cooked agave.

Aromas of cooked agave, basil, tarragon, orange peel. A palate of minerality and floral notes followed by preserved meyer lemon citrus notes — there is a light salinity that provides a great salty/sweet balance to the honeyed agave flavors. The finish is full-bodied and lingering, both in sweetness and in citrus oil.

This tequila rests for 2 years prior to release.

Enrique Fonseca has created some of the most unique aged tequilas available. The Fuenteseca line starts at a minimum of 7 years and reaches all the way up to 21 years. Given that blue weber agave takes 8-10 years to mature to be used to make tequila, these expressions can take nearly 30 years to produce.
